• Southerlies at the Magothy are very unstable and they will bring large changes in velocity more than direction, but direction will oscillate as well. Your goal today with your partner is to predict those changes and account for that with aggressive and proper (Practice 1) body mechanics and sail trim (Practice 2). I don’t really care about positioning on any races we do today as much as I am interested to have you improve your speed based on gear-shifting in the wind velocity changes in the E420. Make 100% sure you talk about gear-shifting in the wind velocity changes with your partner. What are they?
