Practice

  • warm up: some focus on flying junior sailing
    • rig tension
    • sail trim through the wind ranges and through maneuvers
    • jib trim is absolutely critical
  • the usual fleet race simulations
      • focus on gate choice. No one can win every start and every first beat. But you can gain boats on the dw and final beat based on observation/assessment/execution. Anytime you turn a 12 into an 8 you are winning.
      • alternate where you are in the follow the leader  dw starts
      • starting. know the line. Don’t be over early. All starts today are i-flag rule starts.
