• Today is International Pose-Off Day. We have celebrated this before. Each Class will choose, in order of seniority, their pose (see available list below) and we will then, after brief practice/training, have a proper Pose-Off to determine a champion. As you know, a Pose-Off is done be having opposing teams face each other. When the horn sounds, teams engage in their pose collectively, and directly at the opponent. Judges then determine who out posed whom. Criteria include quality of each pose, team pose-symmetry and togetherness, and ability to maintain pose focus (laughing or even smiling is a disqualifier).

Practice

• warm ups
• work on starting. lots of practice starts, one-minute rule starts. Evaluate the line, enact a good plan to start well. short weather legs, long weather legs, etc.
• Starting as a means to an end
• Starting to avoid trouble
• Starting as a constant habit of preparation
