Hi
Very proud of our team and efforts today. Wind was 0-3 to start, then E-SE 6-14 knots, with fair amounts of shifts and holes in the race course.
We were first in A division, and second in B division overall, and finished second overall. Not often do you finish 1,2 and not win overall, but lights out sailing by Broadneck’s B division team gave them the overall win by a comfortable 15 point margin.
A Division
Connor/Camille
B Division
Stephen/Aidan/Blair
Caroline/Parker
—Peter and Austin there as well.
-A few struggles with the race course and getting on the wrong side of the course.
-A few poor gate choices
-tack less after you round a gate
-Overall clean sailing, no fouls, over earlies, or other unforced errors
-Stephen/Aidan ended the day with a 1,1.
-Caroline/Parker notched a 2 in their second race
-excellent competition, and a very good result, and very positive things to build on for this week going into fleet race prep week.
-our B Division downwind speed today was very impressive
-we got better as the day went on. This is a really good sign, and something to use as great motivation
