Actually, we are going to do a team racing practice.
- boat handling warm up. focus on NOT over turning the FJ (or 420) downwind in a gybe. Roll, but be smooth. If it’s light enough we may do (just for FJs) DW gybes rudderless so you can work on smoothing out your boat handling.
- (Yale) BALANCE DRILL:
- 2 on 2, round gate in opposite directions at the same time. Work with your teammate to balance pairs. Last boat loses to a finish line. This is a basic but critical drill that requires understanding of BALANCING PAIRS. Make sure you know what that means.
- Switch Partners each time. I will likely set up 2 balance courses so we can do more at the same time.
