Today: Learn to Start in an FJ.
-work on FJ starts, and holding spots when going slow. In the TR starts I noticed a lot of sideways motion, people late to the line, and generally not great FJ starting. Focus today on setting up, holding your spot, understanding the FJ boat characteristics and their important differences from a 420. Think about how to approach an FJ start. You must have a routine that you learn, practice, and remember EVERY time you get into FJ’s. It is a necessary thing to discuss with your crew or skipper how/what you are going to do what you want to do.
-we will do some stops & starts in a warm up drill.
-One update. If you, for only a valid reason, are not able to make practice, I need an email from you THAT MORNING so I can properly edit practice.
