Confounding conditions (maybe like this weekend at the qualifier) today. Light, lighter, big right shift, went back for a bit, then right again. Sail away from boats downwind for clear air, find lanes and any pressure. Winners today said simple boat handling helped them win

Excellent sailing today in a big E-SE wind 9-17 knots. Lots of competitive sailing and lead changes. Great job by boat 4 both upwind and downwind; I think the passed boats downwind in at least 2 of the 3 races they won.  

I was thinking during practice how nice it would be to have a scoring program that automatically calculated final beat drill results. Coach K mentioned this to Sam Bruce…… and wha-la. Thank you, Sam!
